We recently finished a day packed full of PowerSessions for StorMan users... and the response has been nothing short of fantastic! For those of you who don’t know what a PowerSession is, please read on - as many people are finding them a great alternative to traditional training and they are FREE!

PowerSessions are, by name and nature, designed to be short, sharp and shiny. We recognise the fact that you are busy people and to take a day off for training or even an hour is sometimes nigh on impossible. So after much head scratching and debate we launched the concept of a PowerSession in November last year (2008) and have simply been overwhelmed at the response.

We wanted to provide to our StorMan customers a way of training and learning about features within our software without making it too hard to do. The feedback we have had from training is that the content is awesome and is great value for money however as in any business it’s increasingly hard to find a whole day to do a training course in. This is borne out around the world with the massive increase of online learning and self paced computer courses in everything from dentistry to how to build your own house. And the rest, as they say, is history.

 

While our PowerSessions are designed to be no more than 20 minutes in length (sometimes as short as 10 minutes depending on the topic), they are made to be accessible to as many people as possible, but still maintain the high training standard that has been developed by StorMan over the years. The added advantage is that because they are recorded, you can watch them online via our website within hours of the sessions’ completion. So not only do they provide a great way to keep up to date with the latest and greatest features, but they can also be shared amongst staff who couldn’t attend or other branches that don’t have broadband. This contributes to an ever growing, highly informational database that you can use to ensure you get the most from your StorMan software.

Interested? All you need to do is keep an eye on our Training & Events page and register for the next set of sessions. Then follow the directions in the email and join the session at the appropriate time. EASY! Just a note to remember that session times are always shown in the Brisbane (Queensland) timezone, which is AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time); we don’t have daylight saving.

So do yourself a favour this year and become a StorMan guru for the cost of... $0. If you don’t know what that button or feature does, then just ask! Who knows... it may just become the subject of your own little PowerSession!
