SSAA Membership Renewals & StorMan Letters

Beginning next week, those customers of ours who have not renewed their Self Storage Association of Australasia (SSAA) membership, will no longer be licensed to retain and use the Standard Self Storage letters and agreements as part of their StorMan process.

Please be advised that anyone with an expired SSAA membership that continues to use these letters after the SSAA's February 28th deadline will be in breach of copyright.

The reason for this is that StorMan Software and its affiliates provide these letters to our customers under a license agreement from the SSAA. The SSAA have advised us that they are auditing the use of these documents and as such any site that are not financial members of the SSAA are no longer licensed to use the Agreements and Letters as provided by the SSAA.

Any non-SSAA members will need to delete, remove and discontinue using any and all letters, agreements and forms supplied by the SSAA that are installed within the StorMan program. Please be aware that this is NOT a StorMan Software requirement, but a requirement from the Self Storage Association of Australasia in relation to their intellectual property.

If you currently have SSAA letters installed within your StorMan program and you do not wish to renew your SSAA membership, please contact StorMan Support for help in deleting these from within your software.

Please note that if you choose to make a new set of letters and require support from StorMan Software to do this, you will need to book a time and have your new letters prepared. For more information about your SSAA membership please contact Claire Beattie from the SSAA or your nearest StorMan office.
