Team Leaders Log - Scott Bishop reporting

Star Date 25/01/11. Team Leaders log - Scott Bishop reporting. We have encountered a new breed of business, it is called Self Storage and it consists of individuals’ intent on selling you nothing at all. They are a cunning breed able to sell fresh air to anyone.

But wait there’s more. Not only do they sell fresh air but they sell it in different sizes too. You can get everything from a 1x1 to a 10x10 and every size in between. They can even sell you outside storage, stacked storage, short term storage, long term storage, climate controlled storage, individually monitored storage, and the list goes on.

This is fairly new industry in terms of the Australasian market that continues to evolve as the market for self storage also evolves. We will continue to monitor this new breed and provide updates on their movements... Team Leader logging off.

And now on a more serious note - a BIG thank you for having me onsite as part of your team for a day goes out to; Hamish, Keith and Aleisha (from All Secure Onehunga), Barbara and Gene (from Storage King Onehunga), Andrew, Shane and Bev (from Kennards Three Kings / Mt Eden) and the team at National Mini Storage – Kathy and Stan.

Having come from a background in travel (software), the Storage industry is a new beast for me and the week spent onsite with everyone has been invaluable. My duties included running daily processes in StorMan, sweeping out units, dealing with an array of customers at the front desk and helping out with onsite I.T issues.

Also whilst onsite at one of our StorMan Beta test sites I was able to sit in on and experience live support issues being logged. I look forward with great anticipation to working with my new team both here at StorMan and with the extended StorMan family, you the clients.

Regards,
Scott (Technical Support Team Leader, StorMan Software)

Heya newbie (aka Scott, aka StorMan Team Leader). It was our pleasure to have you with us for the day BUT you could've left us... say... a cream filled pavlova and a bottle of chardonnay! What were those things in that plastic bag!? Gee we were so let down - after all our amazing hospitality, company and even a CAR WASH - MEH!! No... just joking - trust you settle in soon as so we can start bugging you. All the best in your new position and remember you're always welcome to do a home appraisal! = (visit onsite). All the best, Barb & Gene
