StorPay is StorMan's payment gateway for accepting online payments from your customers. Bit of a mouthful, hey? Basically, it allows your customers to pay their Self Storage accounts online, using their credit card. Best of all, it links directly into the StorMan suite of Self Storage, Marina & Appliance Rental management programs... so whenever a customer makes a payment online, it's immediately receipted against that customer's account in StorMan (so long as StorMan is running at the time, and your internet connection is operational).
By being able to immediately-receipt a payment against the customer's account, human error is reduced (actually, it's taken out of the equation totally), and time is saved. Theoretically - if your secured Storage Facility or Marina has 24-hour access and you leave StorMan running overnight, a locked-out (overdue) customer could pay their bill (& late fee's) online, and then travel down to your facility or marina and get access to their goods once more - without ever having to speak to a human, or having to wait until the next morning (instant-receipting is not always supported in StorMan MultiView environments).
When our phone-payments system is launched next year, customers will be able to pay their bills over the phone - again, using an automated system with 24-hour access. This will provide the same benefits as per the above example, but could really help you with your arrears - especially if a locked-out (late-paying) customer is standing at the gate, unable to get in. By providing the customer with a 24-hour phone-payments telephone number on your signage at the gate or pin-pad, the customer could ring the number & immediately pay their bill over the phone using their credit card, wait a few seconds for StorMan to sync the payment with the gate software (if supported by StorMan) & let them in using their pin-code or swipe-card once more!
So what happens when you want to give your customers access to online payments? Well, the initial implementation stage involves us sending some templates to your web designer to customise - so that the customer experience (aka 'look & feel') is the same for the payment pages as it is for the rest of your website... in other words - same colours, same logo & images as the rest of your website. If you don't have a website yet (or don't have access to your original designer to customise the template-pages for you), I can assist you with this task via StorMan Business Services.
Once the design is made, we test the code for you, and place your company-themed pages on our secure server which handles the payments. You then provide a link to the secure payment pages from your current website, and our server does the rest - checking the agreement, debiting the credit card and instantly sending the payment data to your copy of StorMan via an encrypted data session. When that part is finished, you can let your customers know about your new online-payments service & begin accepting payments from your customers via your website.
